Am I Going to Heaven? Part 2

‘They will never accept grace until they tremble before a just and holy law.’ Charles Spurgeon. ‘Evermore the law must prepare the way for the gospel. To overlook this in instructing souls is almost certain to result in false hope, the introduction of a false standard of Christian experience, and to fill the church with false converts.’ Charles Finney

Words from an acclaimed man who closely scrutinized the words of God and recognized how many Christians did not. Psalm 19:7 says much with few words, “The law is perfect, converting the soul.” Paul said, “I would not have known sin except through the law(Rom. 7:7). Jesus came to perfect the law, not abolish it as He warned us God’s grace would not be cheap. “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So, what is the law and what is the will of the Father? Are they the same thing? Since God literally burned The Ten Commandments into stone, I’m thinking this is a great place to start. To be continued………

    1. I look forward to writing it. This will ultimately become a bit lengthy. The revelations of what God and Jesus had to say regarding being ‘in Christ’ as well as my final destiny has evolved as I dug deeper into this, with a lot of help from a good friend way more studious than myself. Thanks for the encouragement. Steve.
