“…..the very smallest thing that we allow in our lives that is not under the control of the Holy Spirit is sufficient to account for spiritual confusion, and spending time thinking about it will never make it clear. Spiritual confusion can only be conquered through obedience. As soon as we obey, we have discernment. This is humiliating, because when we are confused we know that the reason lies in the state of our mind.” Oswald Chambers. Jesus said ‘we must be like children’ to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. ‘Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’, is His first Beatitude. Jesus gave us a Helper as He left the earth because He knew we either would or could not do these things without supernatural assistance.
Chambers continues by saying; “But when our natural power of sight is devoted and submitted in obedience to the Holy Spirit, it becomes the very power by which we perceive God’s will, and our entire life is kept in simplicity.” OUR ENTIRE LIFE IS KEPT IN SIMPLICITY. If this is true and achievable, do you think God would make the procedure difficult? If He is Creator of all things, wouldn’t He give us a course of action to obtain this life? He did and it is unfortunate so many overthink it, but the even bigger obstacle is our pride. Benny Ho says in one of his sermons, “Happiness is not found by pursuing it. It is found by pursuing God.” Have you replaced Him with the things of this world? Are the whispers of the enemy leading you down a path of destruction? Of course, if you don’t believe in the Spirit, you don’t believe in the enemy which is what makes it so easy for him!
‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled’… JOHN 14:27 May you find the joy and happiness this Christmas season that Jesus made available to all by His sacrifice. May your family be blessed and have the ‘peace that is beyond understanding’ . 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
